In transit

Took Light Rail into Seattle to attend a Photoshop lecture at the Adobe campus. These sketches were done on the commute.

Pen, ink and watercolor in a Moleskine watercolor book.

The Fremont Rocket

This rocket used to adorn the front of an Army/Navy surplus store in Belltown. When announced that it was coming down and headed for the trash heap, business leaders in Fremont made arrangements for the "center of the known universe" to be its new home. It sat for some time till it was installed ('94) on the front of what is now a ladies boutique.

Sketching Lenin in Fremont

The Fremont District is one of my favorite Seattle sketch destinations. This quirky arts neighborhood has everything from old soviet statues to marine subjects on the Montlake Cut.

Deluxe Junk/Fremont - unfinished

Unbelievably good weather and way too many subjects to draw - a sketcher's dream. I plan to make another trip here to put down color. Pigma pens and a 14x11" Canson watercolor field book.

Always enjoy the gatherings, looking forward to seeing everyone next month.
